$6 Million – Thierry Henry
The fact that Thierry Henry only worked as a commentator for a single year is noteworthy, but he deserves to be recognized. He comes from the world of soccer, where he has played for a number of different teams throughout his professional career. In 2018, he worked as a sports commentator for Sky Sports, but he decided to leave to pursue his other passion, which is coaching. No one knows if it was a risky move on his part, but we do know that he was earning a good enough salary to be able to support himself and his family.
$7 Million – Tony Romo
Tony Romo’s decision to retire from football and pursue a career as a sports analyst appears to have been the right one. His current position as a member of CBS’ top NFL broadcast team, where he shares a booth with Jim Nantz, is that of former Cowboys starting quarterback. Following the conclusion of the 2019 NFL season, Romo was rumoured to be on his way to ESPN to join Monday Night Football, but he ultimately decided to stay with CBS for a cool $17 million per year. Romo now ranks among the highest-paid sports analysts on network television, thanks to his salary.
