Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler was one of the most popular Saturday Night Live stars in the mid-1990s. However, Lorne Michaels fired him in 1995 despite this. Over the next 25 years, Sandler went on to become one of the most popular and bankable movie stars of all time, yet he always seemed to harbor a grudge against SNL. Sandler returned to hosting in 2019, albeit his opening monologue clearly expressed his emotions: “Yeah, I was fired, I was fired, NBC said that I was done.” Then I made nearly $4 billion in box office revenue, so I guess you could say I won.”
Charles Rocket
During an episode from 1981, cast member Charles Rocket appeared alongside actress Charlene Tilton in a parody of the latter’s hit show Dallas. During the sketch, Rocket dropped an F-Bomb, effectively ending his time on SNL.
