Then something unexpected happened: Dave was told he needed to come in for questioning. After they had captured the German shepherd, they asked Dave what was going on. Dave was speechless. He was treated as if he were a suspect. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a white tent being raised around the drain.

Going To The Police Station
He was placed in the back of a police cruiser. Fighting, Dave realized, was not in his best interests. He was forced to cooperate by the police officers. He was notified that he will be questioned at the police station about what they had discovered. They acted as though Dave had broken the law.
