Crown Prince Felipe – Spain

It was a big deal when Felipe, the Crown Prince of Spain, married former newscaster Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. The wedding took place in May 2004 in Madrid’s Almudena Cathedral, with an estimated attendance of around 1,500 people. There were over a million flowers in and around the Cathedral, which was incredible! However, because the wedding took place only a few months after the Madrid train bombings, a large portion of the wedding budget was spent on security.
