New Interest In Acting
Reba McEntire was a music video pioneer during the late ‘80s. Not only did she sing her songs, but she also put in the effort to transform her music videos into theatrical productions complete with characters and a storyline. The critics even went as far as to call them “mini-movies”! We are sure it was not a piece of cake to do this. Working on the music videos sparked her interest in the world of acting. She added yet another goal to her list, which was to act in a movie. Do you think she had any idea she was about to do more than that?
A Dream Come True
Reba McEntire found herself ticking it off the bucket list when she made her on-screen debut in the 1990 flick, Tremors. The horror-comedy was about giant underground worm-monsters. She actually postponed the honeymoon with Narvel just to finish filming it! According to Reba, she had a great time making the movie, but her co-star did not share the same sentiments. Kevin Bacon even called it a “low point” in his acting career! It did not matter to Reba, of course. She was in the process of making her dreams become a reality. However, not everything was going smoothly behind the scenes.
