The Call
After a few minutes, the tipper called the restaurant to inquire if his tip was given to the person to whom he had given it. The restaurant told him they couldn’t process it, which left the man perplexed. ‘I don’t understand why it isn’t being taken out if I have the money in my account,’ he explained. Emily still hasn’t received the tip she was due.

She asked her manager if she could speak with the man and thank him for his gratitude after learning that he had called the restaurant about it, but her manager refused, claiming that they didn’t have his phone number. Emily stated in her interview, “I told them whether I can get it or not I just want to thank him. Doing something like that means you have a really big heart,”
