They were all unsure of what they were dealing with. The animals would need urgent support if they were dealing with domestic animals, but if they were dealing with wild animals, they know that they have a greater chance of surviving the situation.

They had to make sure that they wouldn’t pass on their scents to the baby animals, which is why they had to wear gloves before they touch them. They also laid out a sheet for the babies so that they would be warm, as well as kept out of harm once they get them.
