The squad hopped onto the truck without any second thought and traveled quickly to the predicament of the animals. The poor animals were, as it turns out, trapped in a storm grate! If they don’t act fast enough, things might be awful for them if it rains.

As it was not raining, the animals were not in imminent danger, but the firefighters realized they had to act hastily. The enclosure was not only dark and deep, but the temperature was also very low. They had to think of a way to save them, because there was no time they could waste.
