Hole In Your Pen Cap
Have you ever looked and wondered what that hole was for? Most of us are aware, but simply ignore it, giving it little thought. However, there is actually a good reason for it! The makers of the pens that are so common in our lives realized that little children will almost certainly find up with these choking dangers in their mouths at some point. They made a hole in the cap to keep them from suffocating, so that even if one got lodged in a child’s throat, they could still breathe air into their lungs.
Tape Measure Tools
Tape measures are pretty self-explanatory. A long, flexible band of measuring tape pulls out of a roll and has a metal end that you may hold in place. Most people are startled to find, however, that the metal tab serves two other important functions. The broad hole in the metal piece is meant to loop over a nail head, allowing you to keep the measurer in place while making your markings. A serrated edge on one side of the same metal tab can be used to gently press and mark a board where you want the end of your measurement to be.
