Back in 2018, Beauty Brands decided to close as many as 25 stores. In January, the company, which also cut down on its corporate staff, filed for bankruptcy. At the time of filing for bankruptcy, they announced that the business had encountered a growth in operational costs as “a predominantly brick and mortar retailer.”

Yet another corporation that filed for bankruptcy last February, Things Remembered were able to secure a buyer to help rescue some of its stores nationwide. Enesco LLC has acquired 176 locations from this store specialized in branded goods and customized products. However, only a small percentage of the business was able to be saved by the acquisition. Initially, it had 450 stores at the time it applied for bankruptcy, which means that more than 250 shops would be set to close.
