While we all know how large the Mongol Empire was, this map illustrates just how large it was. It existed from the thirteenth through the fourteenth centuries and is currently considered the world’s largest empire. This map depicts the empire’s extent in 1279. The empire spanned nine million square miles at its peak.
Lithuanian Magnet Map
Lithuania came up with arguably the most inventive way to entice visitors to visit: a map of the country constructed entirely of magnets, with each magnet available exclusively in specific cities. I don’t know about you, but it makes us even more excited to go. How many people can boast of having visited Lithuania? To be sure, there aren’t many of them.
