In 2013, Rachel Maddows decided to buy the pre-revolutionary ranch house just for $605,000. The cottage has two bedrooms, one colonial bathroom, and was constructed in 1869 occupying an 11.86 acre of land. The main house has features such as a chimney and a carport connected to it. Architect Nicole Migeon helped Rachel construct a private bathroom at the back of the house to have a tub and a full toilet in it. They could’ve chosen to make the space enclosed, but Maddow decided not to convert the house’s fundamental structure.
