Daisy had been giving birth for quite some time. And the foal ought to have arrived by now. Daisy attempted to push, and Mrs. Johnson peered till she understood what was happening. The foal was lying broken. This was a very, very awful situation that would not go away. They had to assist Daisy or it might turn out terrible for them both.
