Daniel Radcliffe was discovered in a movie theater. Producer David Heyman and screenwriter Steve Kl learned Daniel first spotted Daniel when he was attending auditions for roles in movies that they were making. Though Radcliffe certainly looked the part, his parents were hesitant about letting him take part. Heyman pushed to get him given a chance to audition.
