The couple boarded a plane bound for Santo Domingo and remained in the capital for a few days. They tried the local cuisine and learned the culture. It was so different from their lives back home! They had a blast swimming in the clear water. Their home could not have been further from their minds at the time.

Eleven days later, it was time for them to return home. Thomas and Rebekah were sad that they could not stay at the slice of paradise longer, but they were comforted by the idea of going back to their lovely house. They were just a flight away from their own backyard, which offered many comforts and a great view. Sadly, it turned out that they would not get to enjoy either of those things once they get home.
