Carpets are frequently underappreciated. Literally. Because one of the most typical furnishing mistakes is to get rugs that are too small for the room. Not all large seating furniture should be crammed into the living room; at the very least, the front legs of all such pieces should be able to rest on the carpet. In the dining room, the carpet under the dining table should protrude about half a meter over the chairs, unless otherwise specified. Tip for furnishing: You may also layer the carpets for a more contemporary design.
