Dave Mustaine was Metallica’s first lead guitarist. He was born in the city of La Mesa, California. Mustaine was fired from Metallica on April 11, 1983, due to his alcoholism, substance addiction, violence, and feuds with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich’s founding members.
