She was laughing and having a good time while being pushed by a girl who was a little higher than her. The girl, like his daughter, had long brown hair, but she was older. He couldn’t see her face because she was standing with her back to him, but he was certain she wasn’t Clara.

Only Caroline and the older girl were playing in the area around the swing set. There weren’t very many other children there. When John watched his daughter flying through the air and having so much fun, he couldn’t help but crack a small smile and watch her.
