This situation was beginning to challenge Joshua and Heather’s relationship. Joshua denied everything, and Heather was confident she would catch him in the act. She was uncertain as to what she would end up finding during her search. The only thing on her mind was that she wanted to look for answers to this issue.

Joshua rejected everything she said about him over and over again. Then Heather started to think that she was an insane person, and she was probably dreaming about it all. Then she began to develop theories about what was in the house. Perhaps an animal she’d found had made it into the house. Before going to bed, however, she was sure that the windows and doors were still closed.
