Aloha Stadium was a crown jewel in Honolulu, but the 43-year-old venue now looks faded. In 2016, the venue underwent $1.2 million in renovations, but fans say they see little improvement. Officials are now preparing a complete reconstruction of the tired stadium, releasing plans for three different options. Among the proposed changes? From 50,000-35,000 capacity, downsizing. If they had a better team, fans might be more forgiving. The Rainbow Warriors had trouble winning records to finish their seasons, though, in 2018, they went 8-6.

It is somewhat surprising for a private university once called one of America’s most expensive colleges that Vanderbilt doesn’t have a better stadium to host its Commodores. Instead, one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation has an ugly stadium built-in 1922 that often only draws half-capacity football crowds.
