Her Job As Deputy Fire Chief
So what does a deputy fire chief do exactly? “I’m in charge of ensuring the welfare of first responders and ensuring that we have excellent customer support. I’m in a command vehicle on the scene, providing operational instructions to the company officers fighting the flames. I park my car in such a way that I have a three-sided view of the commanding ground. “I’m corresponding with business officers,” she said. She has the final say on whether it is possible to bring a line in and put out the flames.
