Captain Li Shang From Mulan – New 3D Painting
In making the decision to adopt the animated film into a live-action version, Disney faced a great deal of opposition from the public. Captain Li Shang is a fictional character created by Disney that is completely absent from the film. The artist who re-imagined Li Shang’s appearance began working on what he imagined the Captain to look like in real life with only the animation and the character description as reference points. That which he came up with for the final product is likely to be how every viewer of the original animated film imagined Li Shang to appear, as though the character were standing right next to you in real life.
Prince Eric From The Little Mermaid – Original Painting
He may be a down-to-earth individual, but he is a passionate advocate for the ocean. In Disney’s original version of The Little Mermaid, Prince Eric is the prince of Atlantica, which is located on the surface of the ocean. Given that he appears to be working on the ship, he must be some sort of merchant prince. He is also an accomplished navigator. He was saved from drowning by a mermaid named Ariel after his ship was wrecked in a storm. Of course, the plot of the film progresses until the two eventually tie the knot together. Originally from Hans Christian Andersen’s story, he is the main character in the Disney adaptation and is based on the prince character from the original story.
