The Bridgeport resident had not gotten a haircut for a long time by then. She simply let her locks grow until it was super long. It was her signature look for nearly a decade. In October 2018, the library was featured on Rachael Ray and admitted, “People know me by my hair.”

To tell you the truth, it did not look bad at all. It helped that it went well with her fashion style, which she has described as bohemian. “I like flowy skirts and dresses and colors and patterns and florals,” said the librarian. Wendy went on, “The world should have more color in it.”
