Secure Them With Elastics
One must backcomb every tail close to the roots using a wire brush or dread comb. Take the time to ensure that each section is even, beginning around an inch from the base of your head. After that, you need to make sure that the tail is packed tightly before you move down. If you have straight hair, make sure to secure every section with elastic. This is going to hold the dreads in place.
Use Wax On Them
After that, you have to wax each one with a petroleum-free product. This will prevent build-up. You then have to coax a small amount of it into the dread. Place it between your palms and use your fingers to rub it in. By doing this, you can fix the dreads into position. You can now take off the elastic bands.
