It turns out that Rachael Ray felt apprehensive about adding makeovers to the food-centric series lineup. She said, “When we first started the show, I’m like, ‘Everybody does makeovers; let’s not do makeovers.’ And then we started doing them and… I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I love these! They’re so fun.”
