The Women’s Hairstyle
Aldrich may have been hell-bent on ensuring that his male cast’s hairstyles were period-appropriate. When it came to the women though, he was considerably more relaxed. The haircuts and clothing featured in the ball sequences are from the late 1960s. Of course, this is more than two decades after the events of The Dirty Dozen, which took place during World War II.
Posey’s Fate Wasn’t Clear
Although the fates of certain people aren’t revealed, we can still deduce what happened to them. The roof explosion, for example, shows that Gilpin sacrificed his life to ensure that the antenna was destroyed. Those who are curious about what happened to Posey will have to rely on their imaginations. He mysteriously vanishes near the end of the movie for no apparent cause.
