It’s difficult to imagine Aldrich’s war film being called anything else The Dirty Dozen. It simply rolls off the tongue! However, it was revealed in a TCM biography of main star Marvin that the 1967 blockbuster had a considerably longer original title: Operation Dirty Dozen.
