While we know that Princess Diana and Prince Charles weren’t right for each other, their problems didn’t take long to appear. In fact, they started on their honeymoon. According to the royal author, Penny Junor, while the couple was on board the Royal Yacht Britannia for a 14-day cruise of the Mediterranean, the Prince decided to catch up on some reading. Diana wasn’t too happy that he wanted to read instead of pay attention to her. Junor explained that “Diana was no great reader and was offended that he should prefer to bury his head in a book rather than sit and talk to her.”

Throughout the years, things went from bad to worse for the royal couple. There were public scandals, mudslinging, and explosive tell-all interviews. All this went on until August 28, 1996, when the Prince and the Princess got a divorce. Tragically, Diana was killed in a car crash just a year later.
