A Constant Reminder
“You remind me of my son. I pulled you over,” the police officer said. “Thought you were him. I still don’t believe it most days he’s gone.” Only one thing remained for William to do. He complied with the request and hugged the miserable man.
A Warm Embrace
William, too, couldn’t stop the tears from falling. He got out of the truck, opened his arms, and “hugged that man.” He recalled, “With tears in both our eyes I got out and hugged that man.” This is certainly an instance in William’s life that he would never forget.
