Courtney tried to hold back but she burst into hysterics. She took the check and went to the back room. Her boss noticed Courtney’s tantrum and imagined that something terrible had happened.

It’s possible that this was not intentional and the man had made a mistake and did not see the bill. Courtney did not know what to think but it was hard for her to believe that the customer left such a large tip o a $9.00 bill. There was no way she would believe that he intentionally left a $100 tip!
