Perkins
Perkins was first established in Cincinnati, Ohio as a privately owned enterprise under the name Pancake House. The breakfast and bakery chain then changed to Perkins Family Restaurant several years later. The restaurants can be located in 32 U.S states along with 4 regions in Canada. Marie Callenders is the restaurant that owns Perkins. During 2019, the enterprise declared bankruptcy in 2019 which then resulted in many store closures as well as 25,00 furloughed employees.

Friendly’s
Primarily located in the East Coast region, since 1935 Friendly’s has been through some drastic changes. They, unfortunately, they filed for bankruptcy several years ago but were able to make a comeback and the decided to reform the entire menu. There are currently 167 locations but soon they will be shutting a few branches that are not generating enough profit.
