Leanza Cornett

The 1993 Miss America winner died on October 28 at the age of 49 after being treated for a head injury. Leanza had a vibrant and beautiful heart, and her laugh was contagious. We know she meant so much to so many people, including all of you,’ the Miss America Organization said in a post on Facebook. Cornett is survived by her two sons, Kai and Avery, whom she shared with Mark Steines’ ex-husband.

Kenzo Takada

According to Agence-France Presse, the fashion designer, who created the Kenzo company, died of coronavirus complications on October 4 in Paris at 81. Takada died 50 years after launching his first collection in Paris, six years after arriving in the country from his native Japan, where he was one of the first male students at Tokyo’s Bunka Fashion College. Takada retired in 1999 after selling his brand to LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
