Rebecca Luker
Rebecca Luker was an American actress, singer, and record producer known for her “crystal clear operatic soprano” and long runs in Broadway musicals over her three-decade-long career. The New York Times compared her to Barbara Cook and Julie Andrews, among other notable actresses. Three Tony Awards, three Circle Awards for Outer Critics, and two Drama Desk Awards have been nominated. She died at the age of 59 on December 23, however. The news came ten months after Luker had confirmed her ALS diagnosis.
