Cindy confirmed that this was the pouch that the cat had brought home. She was relieved to learn that the agents had discovered it. This, she realized, was proof that she was telling the truth. The officers, of course, admitted they didn’t believe her and continued their search. A woman entered the police station at that precise moment. A lot of things came together all of a sudden.
