Wow, can you believe it’s been about two decades since the days of Just Shoot Me? Yes, we all know about David Spade, but how about the female leads? Ever wonder what happened to the lovely ladies who starred in the comedy? Well, you’re in luck! We’ve caught up with all the starring women from Just Shoot Me. You may have forgotten some of the huge stars who appeared on the show back before they got their break. Yes, we will catch you up with all the stars from Maya Gallo (played by Laura San Giacomo), Nina van Horn (played by Wendie Malick) to guest stars over the years like Pamela Anderson! Hey, there were more than 450 characters credited to Just Shoot Me, so there’s a lot of people fans were left wondering about all these years. Plenty of women graced our screens on Just Shoot Me, but what ever happened to them? They brought glamour, humor and wit to the show. However, Just Shoot Me has not aired since 2003. Just Shoot Me was one of those comedies everyone could find something relatable to during it. Surely, you remember the show was about a fashion magazine called Blush and the workers at their office. If you’re wondering how they achieved such smart comedy, you should know the show’s creator was also responsible for Frasier, Wings and more recently, Modern Family. Yes, Steven Levitan brought us this show and continues to bring joy to the public with his recent works. However, Just Shoot Me is special because it was his very first original creation. Also it even aired for a total of seven seasons before changing time slots. Sadly, three episodes never even aired. The show had met its end. Rebecca Romijn (Adrienne Barker)
Remember this model who Dennis (David Spade) told everyone he was dating? After that, Dennis and Adrienne get engaged but eventually split.
Anyway, Rebecca Romijn soared to fame with her modeling. Nowadays, you may recognize her for her role as Mystique in the X-Men franchise. She also played Alexis Meade in Ugly Betty and Eve Baird on The Librarians.
Tyra Banks (Herself)
This superstar played herself when Blush photographed her for a cover. We hope you remember the empowering speech she gave Elliot about how men should respect models. Seriously, do we need to tell you what this icon has been up to since then?
Well, to recap her career a bit, she appeared in Tropic Thunder, will reprise the role of Eve in Life-Size 2, which comes out in 2018 and starred in many shows. Oh and let’s not forget her show America’s Next Top Model! Not to mention her cosmetic company on top of acting and modeling. Banks also founded the public charity organization called the Tyra Banks TZONE.
Stephanie Romanov (Nikki Ellston)
Back during season two, Nikki came in as the ex of Elliot who dates Dennis. Of course, if you remember her strange antics involving a bird cage, you know her relationship with David did not last. Like some of the other women on our list, Romanov rose to popularity with her modeling.
However, she then chose to pursue acting and has appeared in things like Hotel Alexandria, Seven Days, The Closer and in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off, Angel. Actually, she even starred with Robin Williams in The Final Cut.
Amy Sedaris (Betsy Frayne)
When Jack Gallo searches for a new security team member, he hired Betsy played by Amy Sedaris. Remember how David Finch knew Betsy from college and claimed she stole his personality?
Ah, only David. Anyway, since then, Amy has had roles in Raising Hope, Horace and Pete and Broad City. She also starred in The Heart She Holler, Alpha House and as Princess Carolyn in BoJack Horseman.
Tiffani Thiessen (Amy Watson)
Well before she played Maya’s new assistant in season six, Tiffani had starred on Saved By the Bell.
Afterwards, she starred in White Collar as Elizabeth Burke and as Billie Chambers in Fastlane. Of course, she’s also starred in films. Now, we’re anxiously awaiting her new lead role in Netflix’s Alexa & Katie.
Rena Sofer (Vicki Costa)
During the seventh season, Vicki is hired by Jack Gallo. After a few flops, Rena Sofer finally found success with roles in Keeping the Faith and Traffic.
Not to mention her regular role on Heroes and 24. Nowadays, people know her as Quinn Fuller from The Bold and the Beautiful.
Rhoda Gemignani (Rhoda DiMauro)
Next up, we have Rhoda who played Elliot’s mother. Since the show, she hasn’t landed any significant roles.
However, before Just Shoot Me, she appeared in Seinfeld, Who’s the Boss? and Friends. Then in 2015, she began playing Mrs. LeBlanc on Episodes.
Cheri Oteri (Cindy)
Cindy was Maya’s assistant who was not the best at her job. After playing Cindy, Cheri gained fame for performing on SNL and various TV and movie roles.
Some of the works she’s appeared in include, Boston Legal, The New Normal, Scary Movie and Dumb and Dumber. Stay tuned though, she had two films in post-production!
Jessica Walter (Eve Gallo)
Meet Jessica Walter, who played Eve’s mother, who was also Jack’s ex. Anyway, since the show she’s landed the role of a lifetime.
Seriously, how hilarious is she as Lucille Bluth in critically acclaimed Arrested Development? More recently, Walter appeared in both Difficult People and Justice League Action.
Kathryn Joosten (Mrs. Pierce)
Perhaps, you remember Mrs. Pierce, the landlady of the building where Elliot is hoping to rent an apartment.
Since then, Joosten became famous for he role as Karen McCludskey in Desperate Housewives. She played Karen until the show ended in 2012. Sadly, she died from lung cancer only 20 days after her character Karen passed on-screen.
Laura San Giacomo (Maya Gallo)
Now, we have the famous Maya Gallo, Jack’s daughter! After Just Shoot Me, Laura continued acting. She played Morgan Wilson in Animal Kingdom.
Perhaps, her most famous role came with Saving Grace, in which she played Rhetta Rodriguez. Not to mention, she is a big advocate for charity work with the disabled. She even founded a school for children with disabilities.
Sasha Barrese (Tess)
Sasha played Tess, who was Chloe’s daughter that Nina put up for adoption. Therefore, Tess was Nina’s granddaughter.
Afterwards, Barrese played Sally Franklin in the show Run of the House. Then she had small roles until landing the role of Tracy Billings for The Hangover movies. However, that seems to be the most recent thing this actress starred in.
Wendie Malick (Nina Van Horn)
Next up, we have the fashion editor and former model Nina Van Horn! Actress Wendie has since appeared in numerous TV and movie roles. Some of her notable work was in About Fifty, Big Day, The X’s and of course Hot in Cleveland as Victoria Chase.
One of her most recent projects was TV movie, Engaging Father Christmas. Oh, she’s also in high demand for voice over roles!
Kristin Bauer van Straten (Allie)
In season five, we meet Allie who is Jack’s ex-wife. Kristin has enjoyed some small roles in shows like CSI, Desperate Housewives and Two and a Half Men. Then, she soar to fame with her role as Pamela Swynford De Beaufort in HBO’s True Blood.
She also played Didi Stone in ABC’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. This talented woman enjoys drawing and painting in her free time.
Jenny McCarthy (Brandi)
Jenny McCarthy played David’s old friend Bert who had since transitioned into Brandi. Since then, McCarthy had smaller roles in What I Like About You, Chuck and Charmed.
Of course, she was infamously on The View for one season before being asked to leave due to speaking about her controversial view on vaccinations. Nowadays, she’s on reality shows that revolve around her and her husband.
Cassidy Rae (Kaylene)
Cassidy Rae played Kaylene who was a cover girl and also studying at Yale to become a doctor.
However, Rae’s appearance in season four was one of her last TV roles. Afterwards, she only had small parts on Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane and Rude Awakening. She appeared in the short films Fluffy 1947 and Swordbearer. She’s since announced she’s slowing down to prepare for retirement.
Paula Marshall (Chloe)
Ah, the mysterious daughter Chloe who Nina gave up for adoption! Paula Marshall had already been a sensation when she played the part of Chloe.
She’s appeared in many shows like Two and a Half Men, Gary Unmarried, Murder in the First, Californication and Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street. In the recent comedy film, We Love You, Sally Carmichael, she played Diane.
Gina Gershon (Rhonda Ferrara)
Remember Rhonda, Vicki’s louder, dirty talking sister? After playing Rhona, Gina went on to star in Lost in Oz, Red Oaks and Cleaners.
Get ready, Gina has five movies set to release in 2018.
Amy Farrington (Michelle)
Amy Farrington appeared as Michelle in season seven. This was not the end of Farrington. She has since appeared on hit shows like Grey’s Anatomy, The Middle, Malcolm in the Middle, Bones and Hung, to name a few.
Recently, she has starred in about five new shows like Man With a Plan and The Mick. Not to mention, she plays Principal Kate in the movie Special Unit.
Brooke Burns (Kelly)
Brooke played cover girl Kelly in season seven. Maybe you remember her appearance in the Halloween episode. Burns had rose to fame before Just Shoot Me with her role in Baywatch as Jessica Owens.
Some of her most popular recent roles were in Melrose Place, Miss Guided and Pepper Dennis. Nowadays, Burns has chosen to focus on TV movies, like Christmas Connection.
Christine Ebersole (Margo Langhorne)
Wow, do you remember Margo, Nina’s rival? In real life, Christine scored countless roles in TV shows. You can see her on Related, American Horror Story, Sullivan & Son and Retired at 35.
Let’s not forget her role in Search Party and new fantasy movie called Starbright. Fun fact, did you know her niece by marriage is Janel Moloney, aka The West Wing‘s Donna?
Ana Gasteyer (April)
Ana played the nanny April who got involved with Dennis. Nowadays, Ana has become famous as a comedic genius. Perhaps, you know her from her almost 20 years with Saturday Night Live. Where do we begin with her other endless hits? Well, she played Lindsay Lohan’s mother in Mean Girls.
Gasteyer also appeared in Suburgatory, The Goldbergs, Dawn of the Croods and recently as Karen Grisham in Lady Dynamite with the hilarious Maria Bamford!
Ali Larter (Karey Burke)
Ali Larter played Karey who struggles to decide whether to drop out of school. While Maya tries to encourage her to stay in school, Nina wants to convince Karey to model.
The role of Karey was one of Ali’s first big parts. Since then, she became most known for playing the characters, Jessica Sanders, Tracy Strauss and Niki Sanders on Heroes. Afterwards, she landed roles in Pitch and Legends.
Joyce Bulifant (Fanny Finch)
Joyce Bulifant played the over protective mother of Dennis Finch. Before appearing on Just Shoot Me, Bulifant rose to fame for roles on Sport Billy, Flo and of course, The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Can you believe she’s been acting since the 1950s! Anyway, she decided to retired in 2005. One of her last roles was Fanny Finch and also in the spoof movie called Tooken (2015).
Kathie Lee Gifford (Allison Spencer)
Kathie Lee Gifford played the romance author Allison Spencer. Gifford is best known for The Today Show. Of course, she’s had a number of other roles in Hollywood. She’s appeared as herself in the fifth Sharknado film and in Donny! and Younger.
One thing she’s also known for is her charity work. In fact, she’s an ambassador for the charity organization called Childhelp, which helps with child abuse prevention and treatment. She also raised money with her husband to support two shelters in NYC for babies born with congenital crack addition and HIV. Talk about charity work, this woman goes above and beyond!
Cheryl Tiegs (Herself)
This supermodel became famous for appearing on the covers of both Sports Illustrated and TIME. Anyway, she appeared on an episode of the show and her career has continued to flourish. She’s known for playing herself on Family Guy and as a judge for ABC’s True Beauty.
In fact, this actress is also extremely involved with charity work. She’s an active spokeswoman for City of Hope and an ambassador for the International Planned Parenthood Foundation.
Emily Procter (Anchorwoman)
Maybe you don’t recall Emily Procter’s role as an anchorwoman on the show. Anyway, she rose to fame with her role as Ainsley Hayes in NBC’s acclaimed The West Wing. Then, she played Det. Calleigh Duquesne in CSI: Miami. Oh and she played FBI agent Callaway in White Collar.
Besides acting, she’s a reputable poker player and sings in a band called Motion. On top of all that, she volunteers at homeless shelters! Wow, again another actress prioritizing charity!
Megan Mullally (Stephanie)
Wow, since playing Stephanie Griffin-Cooper, Megan has soared to fame! Probably, best known for playing Karen Walker on NBC’s Will & Grace, she was nominated for 7 Emmys for that role. Then, she hosted The Megan Mullally Show.
Oh and she’s appeared on In the Motherhood, Childrens Hospital, Parks and Recreation, Boston Legal and 30 Rock. She voices Gayle and others on Bobs Burgers. Not to mention, she’s married to the hilarious Nick Offerman.
Carol Ann Susi (Mrs. Boukidis)
Maybe you forgot about Carol Ann Susi’s role as Mrs. Boukidis. However, you may have known her role as the voice of the unseen Mrs. Wolowitz, Howard’s mother, on The Big Bang Theory.
This star also appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, The King of Queens, Seinfeld, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch and That 70’s Show. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in November of 2014.
Ever Carradine (Gwen)
Again, with all the characters, you probably forgot Ever appeared as Gwen. However, since then she’s become known for roles in Bubble Boy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Guns for Hire.
More recently, she’s celebrated for playing Janet Stein in The Runaways and Naomi Putnam in The Handmaid’s Tale. We seriously, cannot wait for the next season of The Handmaid’s Tale!
