However, what he ended up getting was so much more than that. When he walked out of his front door, he got something he never could have even imagined. His parents organized him the biggest birthday surprise ever.

“It was devastating to hear that he had cancer,” his mother, Erin said. “It’s catastrophic when you hear that about your child.” One thing Whitaker always adored was yellow cars. Whenever he’d see one, he would exclaim, “Bumblebee!” His dad, Seth, planned on asking a neighbor to park his yellow car in front of their house on Whitaker’s birthday as a special surprise.
