Reunited With Family After 60 Years

When Allan Healy and Margaret Mitchell’s parents separated back in 1954, the children were forced to leave each other. They spent the majority of their lives about 500 miles apart. Allan’s search for older sister Margaret ran dry due to Scotland’s data protection system, thus, he turned to Facebook. After putting an old photo up of him and his sister, he began the search. Apparently, Margaret and a neighbor were using social media to find Allan as well. Alas, they found Allan Healy with his profile picture set to the old photo and one Facebook request and tear-filled phone call later, the two met up in Dundee. Oh and Allan also got to reunite with his 88 year old mother there, too!

Couple Marries After Meeting Because Of Facebook Glitch

Many couples nowadays meet on dating apps or sites. However, this is not that kind of story. Back in 2009, Schuler Benson got logged into a random woman’s account because of a Facebook glitch. He couldn’t log out and therefore, posted some statuses on this woman, Celeste Zendler’s Facebook to ask for help. In order to fix the issue, the two had to friend each other on the social network. Then, they discovered they shared many interests. Fast forward four years, they met up and then in 2014, Schuler once again logged into Celeste’s Facebook to post a picture of an engagement ring. Now, they’re happily married!
